HEALTH & SAFETY

1. Value Care Partners Ltd (VCP) through its Directors is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with their duties under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. It is our Policy that in all of its activities, all practicable measures will be taken to safeguard the health and safety of its employees, contractors, members of the public and any others connected with the business.

2. The task of implementing this Policy is owned by the VCP directors, each of whom has a personal and legal responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of all staff. This responsibility will be discharged by the directors, adopting appropriate joint consultative procedures to ensure that risks are properly assessed and by developing and implementing a proactive programme of procedures which will ensure the continued and systematic development of health, safety and welfare activities at the VCP location.

 3. VCP recognises the need to ensure that all its employees are sufficiently skilled, trained and instructed to carry out their duties so that they may accept their health and safety responsibilities and thereby not only meet, but exceed their statutory duties. The VCP Health and Safety Policy addresses the responsibilities placed on VCP by statutory requirement and legislation.

4. Employee participation in the establishment and maintenance of a safe and healthy environment will be encouraged. There is a legal obligation on each individual employee to contribute to the maintenance of such an environment, by co-operating with line management in implementing the policy and not endangering themselves or others by their actions.

5. We all bear a responsibility for the safety of ourselves, colleagues and others whom we encounter in the course of our work. By working together we can promote safety as part of our business culture whilst preventing accidents, ill health and property damage in the workplace.

6. All employees are actively encouraged to submit ideas and suggestions to improve standards of health, safety and welfare thereby enabling all of us to participate in the successful promotion of this Policy

7. As a supplier to industry of the Health & Safety management system, Synergi, VCP places particular emphasis on the importance of observing and maintaining a permanent focus on Health & Safety.
